First reports of roulette tables in casinos appear as early as 1758. It is unknown who was the first person to come up with roulette, but it quickly spread across casinos in France. It used a wheel to determine a winning number as well. The most probable theory tells us that the invention of the game that was going to become one of the main components of a casino was inspired by an Italian lotto-like game at the beginning of the 18th century.
